This is Bennett's fourth collection of poetry. His poetry has always dealt with the human condition, whether it be individual or societal endeavour. The title poem of this collection deals with the futility of war while other poems like "A Middling Man Ponders a Missed Opportunity' deal in a manner, part tall tale part sardonic, with the 'isms' and 'what ifs' of life. |
