Linley Cornish is a teacher educator in the University of New England, Armidale, NSW, Australia. She teaches pre-service teachers a general course on learning theory and effective learning strategies, as well as a specific course on effective learning in mixed-age classes. Her main research is carried out in different types of mixed-grade class - composite, multi-grade, staged, and multi-age.
