Edwin Wislon was born at Lismore, in 1942 of Danish/irish/English stock. His great grandfather anglicised his name (from Wilhem Jensen Sondelev). Edwin is married with three adult children and lives at Crows Nest, a suburb of Sydney, Australia. The first five years of his childhood was spent in the then isolated farming communbity of East Wardell, New South Wales. Wilson was educated at Mullumbimby and Murwillumbah High and Armidale Teacheršs College, and graduated in science ( NUclear and Inorganic Chemistry, and Botany) from the University of New South Wales. After teaching in secondary schools and lecturing at Armidale Teachers College, he was appointed and Education Officer at the Australian Museum, Sydney. Since 1980 he has worked in Community Relations at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney. |
